A mission led by the Minister of Constitutional Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia H.E. Abdurahman Hosh Jibril paid an official visit to Garowe and had a consultative meeting on the constitution organized by Puntland Non-State Actors Association (PUNSAA) with the Civil Society Groups in Puntland which was held at Puntland Development and Research Center (PDRC) in Garowe. The meeting was also attended by high level members from Puntland State including the Deputy Chair of the Puntland Parliament, Puntland Minister of Constitution, Federal Affairs and Democratization.
H.E. Minister Hosh who gave a speech at the meeting said “My delegates and I from the MoCA are very grateful for your warm hospitality and we are very excited to hold consultative meeting with the members from the Civil Society Groups of Puntland as part of the national consultations on the Constitutional Review Process Campaign”.
Some of the participants asked the Minister questions about the Constitutional Review Process Campaign while others shared their ideas and expectations with the MoCA.
The meeting that took place in Garowe is a kick start mission to engage the FMSs and there will be a series of such consultative meetings that will take place throughout the
country.
