H.E. Lutfi Sheriff Mohamed
H.E. Lutfi Sheriff Mohamed is a Somali politician who is currently a member of the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament, and a member of Parliament’s committee of Natural Resource and Minerals, as well as a member of Pan African Parliament, especially the committee for the Cooperation, International Relations and Conflict Resolutions.
H.E. Lutfi Sheriff Mohamed is currently the deputy minister of constitutional affairs of federal republic of Somalia.
Before becoming a member of the parliament Mohamed worked as a well know journalist covering for well-respected international media including the Los Angeles Times, Bloomberg and German News Agency, dpa, and he was an outstanding civil society voice, defending the rights of the marginalized groups, and he was a lecturer at Mogadishu University, which is the largest university in Somalia.
He is a holder of MBA in Project Management from Open University Malaysia, a Holder of Bachelor of Economics from Mogadishu University and currently, he is a candidate of a Doctor of Philosophy Programme with specializations in Peace, Governance and Development from the United Nations’ University of Peace UPEACE.
His aim is to contribute the stabilization, democratization, reconciliation and peace building of Somalia, which needs to settle as functioning country.
Mohamed is a liberal and openminded young politician, who always tries to build peace in Somalia and the entire region of East Africa. He always stands for contributing peace, governance and development in Somalia, the entire region and the continent.
